A bad start?
Eversince I lost $12 at Ting's place on New Year's Eve celebration, I felt that bad luck has been overwhelming. Get off, shoo off you bad aura!
Anyway, I've been pushed to do clerical work for 2 weeks. 50% due to 3 clerks went for courses for 2 weeks, another 50% due to my rotting hands. It kind of worsen and I went to see the MO last month. I was referred to the National Skin Centre for an appointment next Wednesday and given an 84 days excuse from contact with oil. Everyone envy my situation, but they really don't know what it feels like to work as a clerk.
Basically, I've 2 duties to cover - as a Company HQ clerk and Platoon Clerk whom covers on Production report, booking in and out of Equipment. I stayed till 930p.m. on tuesday and 9p.m yesterday. Was really mad, because no one understands that overwhelming workload thrown to you. No one cares, well, some does, but afterall, everyone is looking at you for the end result - that's to get your job done in proper.
Sometimes trying hard to be a perfectionist just adds on my personal stress level. But I know I will never be truly happy if my hardwork doesn't gain recognition. In today's world, who doesn't yearn to succeed, who doesn't yearn to climb?
Back to the clerical duties, all the nightmare will end next friday! I'm looking forward to join my dear friends in the workshop. And I've realised that my company is so political and there is so much backstabbing going on. Even your OC does that! Get a life, we are talking about Warrant Officers in their 40s who's still behaving like Office Ladies bitching and pulling one another hair. Sick! If ever comes a day I were to have my own company, I'm gonna eliminate all this politics. Its not healthy at all!
Then comes the good news. I've been approached to help out for NDP 2007. Of course, its a BIG YES YES for me. I don't care if its from Tuesday to Saturday. So long as I can get out from camp and spend the next 6 months fruitfully, why not? So hopefully he's serious about it.
I'm still thinking of a new design for my blog. Still thinking, still brainstorming....
29th December 2006: My little princess turned 5. Esther and I brought her to VivoCity, coz' she told me that she wanna go shopping. We had lunch at MacDonalds. Didn't know little princess have enormous appetite, despite her petite size. After her Happy Meal, she ate a packet of biscuit. And then she kept drinking the cup of orange juice. At first I was telling Esther, the fries must be damn salty. Later, she blurt out her little secret to esther that she wanted to finish her drink just like us. Her ultimate aim for the day was to buy books! Brought her to Page One to choose her birthday gift. Esther was busy reading stories to her while i'm busy looking for books that is suitabe for her age. Shop around and we went for Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. Outside the toilet, Little Princess told me that she enjoyed herself and she never think of her QUEEN (mummy) and KING (daddy). Haha! So adorable right. I'm glad that little princess had so much fun!
